UNIFORM POLICY
Martin Luther King Elementary School is a mandatory uniform school. Parents may purchase uniforms at Ibiley Uniforms with locations at 999 N.W. 159th Drive in North Miami and 4359 W 16th Avenue in Hialeah. Further information may be obtained at www.ibiley.com School colors are navy blue and white. Recommended uniform pieces are:
Boys: navy blue pants with baby blue, white, or navy collared polo shirts.
Girls: white collared blouses and navy blue skirts or jumpers.

THE PARENT ACADEMY
The Parent Academy of Miami-Dade County Public Schools ® is a year-round initiative designed to help parents become full partners in their children’s education. Having access to classes and courses being offered in facilities all over this large countywide school system, parents have the opportunity to enroll in classes that interest them most. PARENT RESOURCE CENTER
The Parent Resource Center is run by the school's very able and experienced Community Involvement Specialist, Melody Mobley. Classes are offered in literacy, parenting skills, exercise and nutrition, etc. Additionally, computers with Internet access are available for parents. Come by and introduce yourself!
